Tony Gee and Partners are looking for a Carbon Specialist to join the Sustainability team.

This is an excellent opportunity for to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment where you will be helping the business to achieve our carbon reduction targets, implementing our net zero and sustainability strategies.

Responsibilities

Within the context of carbon management, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate and engage with wider teams to identify sustainability and carbon savings opportunities for a project;
  • Help to develop procedures, strategies and tools to implement and quantify sustainability opportunities and carbon savings
  • Prepare calculations and fee budgets, proposals and resource requirements
  • Identify and manage risks to agreed acceptable levels
  • Develop the relationship between the company and new and existing clients in order to identify potential work and maintain existing client relationships
  • Manage and support less experienced employees with carbon related project work

Experience

  • A sound understanding of socio-economic and environmental sustainability issues and how they apply to civil/structural engineering projects is crucial
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • A sound understanding of the coordination of civil/structural engineering projects and developing projects from feasibility through to construction stage;
  • Generally expected, accreditation with a professional institution achieved;
  • Strong understanding of carbon governance and accounting processes with experience gathering data and creating reports on a project basis;
  • Appropriate Microsoft Office skills, analysis tools and IT skills

Qualifications

  • Graduate (MEng or BEng) in Civil, Structural or Geotechnical Engineering, (MSc or BSc) in Environmental Sciences or equivalent appropriate qualification.
